I'm a huge fan of Eylure lashes and with such a fantastic range they are perfect for most of my work. As designer on Strictly Come Dancing, eyelashes are essential to create a look whether its a more natural result for the Waltz like the 116 or more dramatic for the Tango such as the 120's. Usually I would try and use a pair of lashes twice but getting them back at the end of the night is easier said than done!
I also use the single lashes for my photographic work giving a softer effect and on shows such as What not to Wear when you are transforming the general public. Its amazing the difference some extra lashes make. Lisa Butcher is a fan of the single lashes too and I used them on a recent In Style shoot just to open up her eyes.
On T4 and June Sarpong I have used slightly more edgy lashes and the new Tokyo range is perfect. I also love the idea of coloured lashes they are so dramatic and I often layer a few different pairs on top of each other.
My celebrity clients from Sophie Ellis Bextor to Girls Aloud all love Eylure lashes, as they immediately give them defined strong and sexy eyes.
I love Eylure lashes, they are so flexible they fit any eye shape. They are the icing on the cake for any glamour puss. The staples in my kit are the 100's used both on Holly [Willoughby] and Dannii (Minogue) and the Individual lashes really suit Jade [Goody].
I've always loved the high glamour look of the 50s and Eylure lashes are so gorgeous and fit my eyes so perfectly that I can easily achieve the ultimate glamorous look of any era! Holly Willoughby
The shoot for the Pussycat Dolls video Jai Ho was amazing, the girls loved picking their lashes for the video....I doubled up 080 for a real strong full on glamorous look, they gave their eyes real drama! Karen Alder
To get the ultimate Brigitte Bardot eyes I use 2 sets of Eylure Naturalites Intense lashes....amazing
I simply will not go on stage without my Eylure Naturalites Intense 140 lashes..they are amazing and really enhance the smoky eye effect, sometimes i put on three sets!
Eylure lashes are by far my favourite on the market. They are so versatile and simple to use and I have used them on celebrities and artists such as Girls Aloud, Mischa Barton, Lisa Snowdon and now new girls on the block Girls Can't Catch. Eylure produce lashes that suit every eye shape. I use the clusters to give definition in specific areas and half or full strips to make eyes more defined and lashes thick, long and sultry. The reason I use Eylure is because they are so easy to put on and give an amazing result without looking artificial. The band is very thin which allows the lashes to be moulded to each individual eyeshape. The trick is to hold the strip up to the eye, before sticking, to measure it and cut it down to size. I then line the band with glue and allow it to go tacky before applying to the eye. This helps you get it in exactly the right place without it slipping off. Mascara can be added before or after lash application depending on the effect you are after.
How to apply fake lashes by celebrity makeup artist Liz Martins
When applying any kind of lash make sure the eyelid is powdered and not moist, and also make sure you curl your lashes before you start, I usually like to line the seam of the lid with a thin line of liquid/gel/powder line to open up the eye and also to give me a good guide to place the lashes.
Starting from the outer corners and using the longer of the individual lashes in the Eylure pack using tweezers pick it up and dip the end in the lash glue (I find it easy to put some glue on the back of my hand) let the glue go tacky for a minute or so and then place as close to the lash line as possible. If you hold the skin on your eyelid up gently and look down into a mirror this is the easiest way. Take your time and build the lashes up by integrating some of the medium lashes with the longer ones and as you get closer to the centre of the eye use the shorter ones so that you get a graduated fan effect. Don't forget to gently peel them off at night before bed, use an oil based remover which will be the most gentle. Liz Martins, Celebrity make up artist.
Eylure lashes are a beauty essential in my makeup kit. I always use lashes. My clients expect it and this award-winning brand always delivers the look I want to achieve. I'm thrilled that finally I can get them here in the U.S. and no longer have to send for them from overseas. Jake Bailey, Celebrity Make-Up Artist.
